Our commitment
Accessibility is ongoing work
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA when designing, building, and improving Home Folk. This statement describes our goal and current practices; it is not a claim that every page or third-party service has been formally certified as conforming.
Current practices
Measures used throughout Home Folk
- Semantic page structure, descriptive headings, labels, and link text.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls using visible focus indicators.
- Text alternatives for meaningful product and marketing images.
- Responsive layouts that support browser zoom and smaller screens.
- Color choices designed for readable contrast in light and dark themes.
- Status and error messages that do not rely on color alone.
Known limitations
Areas that may still need improvement
Member-created pages and uploaded images may not always include useful alternative text or consistent heading structure. Some experiences supplied by third parties, including payment checkout and domain-provider tools, are outside Home Folk's direct control. We continue reviewing complex editing, media, authentication, and custom-domain workflows for assistive-technology barriers.
Feedback and assistance
Tell us when something blocks you
Email support@homefolk.social to report an accessibility problem or request information in another usable format. Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using when helpful. Do not include passwords, payment-card information, or private authentication links.
We will acknowledge accessibility messages and work with you on a reasonable way to access the affected information or service while the underlying problem is reviewed.
Assessment approach
How we evaluate accessibility
Home Folk uses internal review, automated checks, keyboard testing, responsive layout testing, and customer feedback. Automated tools cannot identify every accessibility barrier, so reported real-world experiences are an important part of our improvement process.
